Tēnā koutou, kei te tino waimarie ahau I te rapu mahi pēnei. I am very lucky to find this mahi and be in a position to awhi/help and tautoko/support our peer support team in Auckland to grow. Na tēnei ao ka watea koe ki te mahi aha, he ngākau atawhai – if you can be anything in this world, be kind.
I bring with me experience from the tertiary education sector. I moved into Ara Poutama/Dept Corrections both community (Probation) and prison (Auckland Women’s Correctional Facility) before moving across into Youth Justice residence.
My previous role saw me grow a team of Clinicians and Peer support workers from 6 to 23 in just over a year. I have loved all my roles as they have taught me valuable lessons which I have been able to bring forward into this mahi with Safeman Safefamily.
