I was born and raised in Tonga which family violence was not a big thing, witnessed a lot of family violence, and we thought discipline with a stick is normal. Children are traumatized during their upbringing but it’s not because of discipline, it is because they are scared of getting a hiding. My journey was hard and theirs a lot of obstacles but I still overcome and make it to where I’m at the moment.
